Health & Safety Consultant (Northwest England)
Location: Northwest England & Home-Based.
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: £52,000 per annum + Car Allowance + fuel expenses
The Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Health & Safety Consultant to join our national team of expert consultants at Make UK. This role will operate in the Northwest of England, providing support to our members in the region of Manchester, Liverpool and surrounding areas. In this role, you will provide consultative advice and deliver training on a variety of H&S related topics to large and mid-sized organisations in Manufacturing & Engineering.
This is a home-based role, where the ideal candidate will be situated in the region with a full drivers license and able to travel to our clients in their region. Travel expectation is between 10-14 calendar days per month, depending on the demands of the client and your diary at that time. Some months will be quieter, some busier – however, you will manage your own diary and be able to organise this to work best for you.
Role Responsibilities
Manage your own portfolio of Make UK members across the Northwest Area.
Provide accurate and timely advice to membership clients on a variety of topics.
Deliver on-site commercial consultancy days in line with customer requirements.
Ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction at all times to maintain strong working relationships.
Deliver comprehensive training online and on-site in H&S related subjects. (E.g., Fire Safety, Legionella, IOSH, Managing Safely, Manual Handling)
Assist the Head of Consultancy in identifying H&S associates who can support high volume regions.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Member of IOSH - GradIOSH/Cert. IOSH OR CMIOSH level
NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma OR Degree in Health & Safety
Background working within a high-risk environment within the HSE field (For example - Manufacturing, construction, engineering, oil & gas)
Competent and up to date with current HSE Legislation
Understanding of auditing, ISO45001, ISO9001.
