We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providingan equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success. *As of Quarter 4 2022Job SummaryTo assist in facilitating and maintaining compliance with all relevant certification and legislative requirements throughout Equinix UK Datacentre operations.Provide comprehensive support to the compliance team by developing, implementing, facilitating, and monitoring health, safety, environmental, quality, information security and business continuity systems across the UK organization.ResponsibilitiesStandards & Regulatory RequirementsProvide support to cross functional teams by contributing to industry knowledge at various Equinix UK forums and sharing information on the Business Management SystemsAssist in carrying out investigations as directed and advise of controls to prevent recurrenceAnalyse corrections and preventive actions to identify systemic issues/root causes and recommend broader preventive actionsActively assists in Maintaining all UK Operations certificationsFirst point of contact for all Customer Audit Requests and liaison with Datacentre operations to completeReportingManages corrective action trackers, accident & incident reportingAssists in the administering of any internal or external non-conformances raisedReports on established KPI’s as directedTrainingDevelops and implements training plans for standards, regulatory and reporting requirements (i.e., health, safety, environmental, quality, information security and business continuity compliance) as directedCo-ordinates, facilitates and conducts training inclusive of toolbox talks across cross- functional teams and contractors where requiredWorks with UK management to assess need for new training or re-training effortsDatacentre & Cross-Functional SupportLeads on responses for complex requests or sensitive issues with high riskProvides authoritative expertise in all certification mattersProvide support to cross functional teams by completing risk assessments/method statementsLeads Datacentre and cross-functional teams on compliance assigned projects balancing business need/knowledge with standards requirementsIdentifies potential risks for non-compliance and leads mitigation/response effortsAssists in ensuring work equipment on all sites are inspected, maintained and registers indicating their status updatedUndertakes Workplace Inspections across UK Sites and engages with cross functional teamsEnsures UK sites and offices practice assigned emergency proceduresAssists in completing workstation assessments and reports in accordance with DSE regulationsProvides support to cross functional teams for management system informationEnforce the requirements where appropriate, for the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974Undertakes any other reasonable task either autonomously or as part of a team which may be required periodicallyMonitor and maintain adherence to waste requirements across all Equinix UK sitesMonitor site calibration requirements periodicallyQualificationsQualified to minimum NEBOSH National General Certificate and/or working towards Diploma Level 6 or equivalentA recognised internal/external auditor qualificationExperience RequiredExperience in operational occupational Health and Safety, competent in risk assessment and method statement development and analysisExperience of Information Security arrangements for multi-layered businessesGood working knowledge of MS office systemsExperience working in a Compliance Advisory roleSkilled communicator and presenter, able to liaise with internal colleagues across a number of cross functional departments and ensure that all ISO standard requirements are understoodAble to work with external companies/customer end users and enforcement companiesExcellent diplomacy and influencing skills, with a proven track record of raising the profile of management systems, especially H&S at all levels, both internally and externallyRequired to travel and report across all UK Equinix sites as directedExperience of implementing, maintaining, and working with, any management system, HSG 65 and/or other Health and Safety Management Systems, GDPR, Data Protection legislationSome understanding and knowledge of data centre infrastructure and operations, fire management and electrical systemsWorking with local enforcement agencies and government agenciesExperience of creating and delivering training courses/sessionsKnowledge of operating electronic/permit to work systemsData show that many applicants apply for a job when they have 100% of what is required.
