Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + car allowance / packageLocation:Region: NorfolkA leading Regional Main Contractor that build, refurbish and regenerate homes and communities across the UK have an excellent opportunity for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join them on a permanent basis.The company are an innovative and ambitious business that combine their industry expertise and unrivalled local knowledge to help transform communities and leave a lasting legacy everywhere they work.They are looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join them, who will be responsible for advising on regional operational compliance of all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and best practices. Additionally, the HSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring that current procedures within the region comply with relevant policy and legislation, assisting with the production and review of project particular documentation.The role includes:Actively engaging with all levels of management at all stages of the construction processPromoting a culture where safety, health and environmental considerations are integrated into everyday processesCarrying out and analysing inspections and audits at the regions operational sitesAssessing the competence of contractors who work for the regionEvaluating essential risk assessments and method statements in association with operations staffLiaising with enforcing authorities as requiredBeing a pro-active member of the national Health and Safety team and supporting and developing national OHSAS 18001 safety management systemCriteria:Suited to an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental professional whose career history is one of extensive practical experience in the Construction industry, possibly having originally trained as a tradesperson familiar with new house building and refurbishmentTypical qualifications expected are NEBOSH General Certificate and NEBOSH Construction Certificate complete with a form of technical recognition such as TECH IOSHEnvironmental qualification, such as IEMA Environmental Management or similar would be preferredThis role covers multiple sites so a valid driving licence is essential and applicants must be prepared to travelExcellent interpersonal skills, an inquisitive mind and an enthusiastic and energetic nature are essentialHappy to commute to / work across NorfolkIf you are a HSE Manager with the right experience and you are interested in this role, please apply with an updated CV or call Rob on: 07733 529 573
