SHE Manager - Up to �60,000 - Oldham

The successful candidate will need to have a hands-on, can-do attitude, driving SHE improvements and engagement with the Plant team whilst being equally comfortable representing the site to Senior stakeholders and external authorities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Health & Safety lead for the Oldham site
  • Prime interface for HSE/EA and other Regulatory Authorities
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental operating permits granted by the Environment Agency and other site permits
  • Lead in Process Safety assessment and analysis. HAZOP and LOPA knowledge preferable
  • Overseeing annual Occupational Health monitoring programme
  • Development and maintenance of the Occupational Health /SHE Policies relating to use and prescription of safety equipment, permit to work, contractor management but not limited to
  • Waste management oversight
  • Incident management system stewardship and root cause analysis
  • Leadership of Behavioural Based Safety processes and other schemes and audits according to business requirements and standards
  • COSHH administrator for site
  • Preparation of monthly management reviews and annual internal/external SHE reports
  • Integrated SHE Management System ownership and maintenance, ensuring procedural compliance to ISO systems
  • Identification of new or revised applicable SHE legislation and ensuring compliance against existing legislation
  • Oversight of haulier compliance with ADR regulations
  • Training management including auditing against competency
  • Ownership of safety elements of product introduction processes
  • Facilitation of Employee Health / Safety / Environmental Committee

EXPERIENCE

  • Degree or Diploma in safety related discipline preferable
  • 5 years'+ experience in safety management field, ideally in a continuous production environment
  • TPM or LEAN manufacturing experience preferable
