Health, Safety and Compliance CoordinatorAW Recruitment Contract Type : Permanent, Full-time Location : Coventry Salary : £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year Job Published : October 30, 2023 Job Reference : AG031023/HSDuties:Working in conjunction with the Health, Safety and Compliance Manager to ensure the health and wellbeing of the company’s employees, and to maintain the quality of its productsConduct root cause analysis for accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify underlying causes and develop corrective actionsPrepare detailed reports on safety incidents, including findings, recommendations, and follow-up actionsCollaborate with management and employees to develop and implement safety policies and proceduresConduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulationsProvide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and safe work practicesMaintain safety records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirementsInduction of new employeesSome quality control tasks (fraction analysis and moisture content determination)Monitoring compliance with Environment Agency Permit requirements and regulationsExperience:Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and standardsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teamsAttention to detail, basic mathematics skills, email confidence and etiquette, and a good working knowledge of Excel spreadsheetsExperience in the recycling industry is a preference, but not essentialIOSH Working Safely/Managing Safely is a minimum requirementA flexible working attitudeAs a Safety Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment for all.As part of the AW Jenkinson Forest Products group of companies we can offer many opportunities for professional growth.Please submit your resume along with a cover letter detailing your relevant experience.Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.Job Types: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per yearCompany pensionLife insuranceOn-site parkingSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Meriden, CV7 7LG: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Health and Safety: 2 years (required)License/Certification:IOSH Managing Safely certificate (required)
