Job title: Health and Safety Advisor



Location: Leeming Bar, North Yorkshire



Salary: �32,000.00-�35,000



Working Hours: Monday to Friday





Exciting news! Our client is expanding their health and safety team on site and has an additional health and safety advisor role available. The successful candidate will work alongside the health & safety director to promote and maintain a positive and proactive health and safety culture on site.





This role offers exposure to a wide range of health and safety areas and the opportunity to support health and safety matters across an entire drinks manufacturing organisation.





Job Duties:




  • Conduct audits assessing the health and safety performance of the business, identifying areas for improvement, and providing assistance in addressing them.

  • Prepare and monitor reports on key performance indicators for the health and safety manager to facilitate monitoring of operational safety performance.

  • Gather and maintain records of accident and incident reports, and generate periodic statistics in these areas.

  • Monitor and manage statistics related to lost time incidents regarding health and safety matters.

  • Maintain records of near-miss incidents and collaborate with departmental managers on reports from their respective areas.

  • Manage training needs for health and safety, including maintaining associated records, scheduling, and administering training courses.

  • Assist in completing risk assessments and developing safe work systems as needed.

  • Assist in delivering health and safety briefings, toolbox talks, and training sessions as necessary.

  • Promote a positive culture of health and safety within the organization.

  • Conduct workplace and behavioral safety observations.

  • Assist in communicating health and safety policies and strategies throughout the company, including documenting minutes from health and safety meetings.

  • Conduct Display Screen Equipment (DSE) user assessments for workstation users.

  • Conduct health and safety inductions for new employees.

  • Support departments in conducting incident investigations and root cause analyses.

  • Develop the health and safety skills of employees across various departments.

  • Procure and manage first aid resources.

  • Enter key health and safety information into databases.

  • Conduct audits related to water management.
