A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety Training Manager
to join a Successful Food Manufacture in the Newton Abbott area.
With no day ever being the same the Health and Safety Training Manager role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class organisation.
Role & Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the Company meets its statutory obligations in all areas of Health & Safety including fire safety, risk assessments, safe systems of work, training & monitoring
Responsible for undertaking and reviewing existing training and record keeping across all departments and identify any areas for improvement
Manage and Develop a training strategy that promotes a food safety first approach.
Chair Meetings - Health and Safety Committee across the entire business
Responsible for Delivering Inductions to site and training production staff to the high factory standards.
Liaise with Departments to identify any specific training that is required for any staff within the business
Conducting Regular Risk Assessments and Investigating any near misses
Responsible for Continuous Improvement of all Health and Safety and Training Procedures.
Coordinating training, managing external contractors, logging training and following up with internal assessments on quality
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Experience within Food Manufacturing and working to relevant standards (HACCP, BRCGS) is essential
NEBOSH Qualification or Equivalent
Driving Licence
Organised and an Excellent Communicator
