Health and Safety Manager (2 Year Fixed Term Contract)Stoke£57,500 plus Benefits Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a leading construction organisation across the Energy sector space to recruit a Project-based Health and Safety Manager. The company are multifaceted, and this role will work on a new infrastructure construction project in the Teesside area.Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include: Managing and leading contractors to ensure they can achieve the efficient and effective delivery of the health and safety across the siteConducting gap analysis to identify root cause and implementing recommendations to prevent reoccurrenceAuditing and reporting on health and safety performanceConstantly assessing opportunities for health and safety improvements and sharing best practice across the siteThe successful Health and Safety Manager will have:Proven experience in a similar role ideally within construction or civil engineering or a related industryHold a NEBOSH Certificate, and ideally another level 6 health and safety qualification, or be a Graduate Member of IOSH (GradIOSH) statusExperience operating at site influencing and engaging key stakeholdersA NEBOSH / NCRQ certificate or equivalentThis position will require an individual who is passionate about health and safety and high performance.
