Our Health and Safety team is seeking a talented, well-organized, and dedicated Health and Safety manager to enhance the Health & Safety culture across two bakeries to meet business needs and legislative standards.
What will my role look like?
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Delivering health and safety strategies
Supporting Bakery management teams
Improving Health and Safety culture
Managing trainees and advisors' activities
Monitoring and reviewing manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and reviewing safety representatives & staff safety walks
Chairing site Health and Safety committees
Improving H & S management systems
Reviewing risk assessments and safe working procedures
Ensuring staff undergo annual health surveillance
Conducting site health and safety inspections
Reviewing safety reports
Completing accident/near miss incident root cause investigations
Skills, know-how and experience:
Key requirements for this role include:
A technical/professional qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate
Proven track record of delivering HSE improvements
Experience in a food manufacturing environment
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in a changing and flexible organization
