Job Title: Health and Safety Manager
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 + package
Location: Corby

Company: Join an industry-leading main contractor based in Corby, specializing in the delivery of construction and steel frame schemes. With a strong reputation for excellence, we are currently embarking on a landmark project valued between £40,000,000 - £80,000,000. To ensure the safety and success of this project, we are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager with a background in main contracting within the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the health and safety function for the project, overseeing the development and implementation of robust health and safety policies, procedures, and practices.
Provide strategic direction and guidance to project teams on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and assess risks, implementing proactive measures to prevent accidents, incidents, and near misses.
Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability throughout the organisation.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing detailed reports and recommendations for corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Stay abreast of changes in health and safety legislation, regulations, and best practices, incorporating new developments into our health and safety management systems.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager within the construction industry, with a strong background in main contracting.
NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
In-depth knowledge of construction health and safety regulations, legislation, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to health and safety management.
