They are currently seeking a Health and Safety Manager to provide ongoing HSEQ support to multiple construction sites in the Birmingham & West Midlands region.In this role, you will work closely with site management teams, technicians, and client safety teams to drive HSEQ initiatives, monitor site safety performance, and ensure compliance with ISO45001 Safety, Quality, and Environment Management systems, company policies, and procedures. We are looking for a Health and Safety Manager with excellent communication skills, the ability to plan ahead, and a client-focused mindset. Liaise with the client & Internal H&S teamOversee and manage a small SHEQ teamChair internal site H&S meetingsAttend client H&S meetingsSupport site team on all H&S aspectsReview safe systems of workAttend and advise during safe start meetingsManage day-to-day H&S activities on siteConduct workplace inspections and report findingsConduct investigations into accidents or incidentsManage on-site occupational healthCoordinate training of project staffContribute to the maintenance of ISO 45001
Role Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in a busy site-based H&S role within the construction industryAn effective communicator at all levels with client-facing experienceA technically aware team player with experience providing health and safety support in the construction/building services sectorsIT literate with proficient report-writing skills
Desirable Qualifications:
Diploma level candidateMain Contractor background
