Health and Safety ManagerSHEQ Manager with a construction background requiredJob Type: Permanent Location: Lichfield with UK travelPost Code: WS14 9DZSalary: £55,000 to £65,000 + Car, Life, MedicalSector - Construction, Interior Fit Out, ShopfittingEstablished firm in the Construction sector require an experienced Health and Safety Manager / SHEQ Manager in Staffordshire.Established firm in the Construction, Interior Fit Out, Shopfitting sector require an experienced Safety, Health and Environmental Manager / SHE Manager - Construction to join the team in Lichfield, Staffordshire.Your primary responsibility in this senior role is to ensure the company is equipped for and can meet its legal responsibilities with regards to Health, Safety and the Environment.Experience RequiredAn accomplished Health and Safety Manager with a minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in similar roles as senior safety lead, multi-site safety lead, trainer, strategy developer and team coach.Possess an excellent Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality management background within the; construction construction sector.Possess an excellent knowledge of construction operations, materials, and full project methodology life cycle experience including pre-development, project delivery, and maintenance.Experience of working with senior managers.Experience of successfully managing and motivating a team.Knowledge of CDM, fire and asbestos regulations.Experience with CITB, CSCS, Considerate Constructor, SSIP schemesExperience of writing, reviewing and implementing on site procedures.Experience of communicating effectively verbally and in writing to senior managers and writing reports.Evidence of continued professional and personal development Skills and Ability A chartered member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH).Environmental certification / IEAMA membershipExcellent written and interpersonal skills and the ability to challenge constructively.Extensive knowledge of effective health and safety management strategies and best practice.Detailed knowledge of current health and safety legislation and its application in a construction environment.Fully conversant with UK construction health, safety and environmental standards, ISO14001, ISO9001 and ISO 45001Comfortable dealing with clients, architects and sub-contractorsCoaching and mentoring skills to develop and support both managerial and operational staff to meet company and individual needsFamiliar with the fundamental aspects of sustainability and how to incorporate these into working practices and the supply chain.
