Supreme Recruitment are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join one of our clients based in Warwick. My client is a design company that prides itself on delivering exceptional solutions across various industries. Their technical team is the driving force behind their success, and they are currently looking for a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to their legacy of innovation.
As a health and safety manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and best practices
- Conducting regular risk assessments and audits to identify and eliminate hazards and ensure compliance
- Providing health and safety training and advice to staff and managers
- Investigating and reporting on any accidents, incidents, or near misses
- Liaising with external agencies and authorities on health and safety matters
- Managing and maintaining health and safety records and documentation
- Reviewing and updating health and safety policies and procedures as needed
Requirements:
- A NEBOSH certificate or equivalent qualification in health and safety
- At least 3 years of experience as a health and safety manager or officer, preferably in a design / prototype or manufacturing setting
- A thorough understanding of health and safety legislation and standards, especially related to machinery and display screen equipment
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to health and safety issues
- A strong attention to detail and accuracy
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
Hours:
8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am - 13.30pm Friday.
