Health and Safety Manager required for a leading technical manufacturer who boasts a fantastic reputation with their sector and is a brand truly associated with quality. They are well established and have huge plans for growth over the next 12 months. They offer excellent development and progression opportunities for the successful applicant.
As the Health and Safety Manager you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations while managing health and safety policies, procedures and systems.
You will work closely with the department managers to enhance the working conditions through safety practices.
 
The Role:
·Ensure compliance with UK legislation.
·Audit health and safety performance, accurately reporting, investigating and implementing learning from incidents and near misses.
·Engage with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management, operational staff and external regulators.
·Lead new programmes, campaigns and always seek opportunities to improve and develop health and safety and well-being.
·Maintain a high level of awareness of legislation and best practice in a world class manufacturing environment.
·Ensure safe systems of work and procedures and tall health and safety issues are regularly reviewed and adhered to.
·Ensure all production and maintenance activities are performed following compliance and legal requirements.
 
The Person:
·NEBOSH Diploma Certificate or equivalent as a minimum (or working towards) and membership of IOSH.
·Manufacturing experience
·Experience with ISO Management systems.
·A relevant degree such as environmental health or occupational safety and health.
·A postgraduate diploma or Masters
·Manufacturing background
·Experience implementing and monitoring UK legislation, and continuously improving Health, Safety and Well-being in an organisation.
·Experience being a hands-on Health and Safety leader.
