Position: Health and Safety Manager

Location: Gloucestershire

My client who are a globally recognised manufacturing business are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager.

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role, you will design and deliver the health and safety vision for the business, including achieving all objectives, developing and implementing all EHS policies and procedures.

Other responsibilities include:

• To promote a fully integrated health, safety and environmental culture, with a strong focus on behavioural safety, ensuring compliance with all contractual, regulatory and legal obligations.
• Develop, implement and audit EHS plans, policies and procedures according to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• To carry out proper and timely assessment of risks to health and safety, and implementation of measures and arrangements identified as necessary from the assessments.

Experience or Qualifications –

• Experience within a similar role (ideally within high paced manufacturing)
• Knowledge of Health and Safety management systems, ideally ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Experience of delivering improvement and implementing a behavioural safety system or creating a culture change
• Proven relevant and current experience in Health, Safety & Environmental practices

Candidates who currently are a Health and Safety Manager, Environmental Health and Safety Manager, EHS Manager, HSE Manager or Senior Health and Safety Advisor would be suitable for this position.
