The Role of Health and Safety Lead:
Develop and continually improve the H&S strategy within the departmentYou will be a hands-on leader, understanding where you can make an immediate impact and what the long-term goals will beYou will drive cultural change, continually bringing H&S to the forefrontDevelop and continually improve bespoke risk assessments and safe systems of workEnsure standards are maintained and continually improved uponBuild strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
The Health and Safety Lead candidate:
Candidates must have experience working within an engineering / manufacturing or R&D environmentAny previous aviation experience is highly desirableNEBOSH General, ideally Diploma or working towardsA minimum of Certified Membership of IOSH (CertIOSH) is required with Chartered Membership (CMIOSH) being advantages.Knowledge of COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, PSSR with an understanding of the explosives regs. being highly desirableAn engineering background is highly desirableProven leadership skills - the ability to engage at all levels is vital
