Working in the Manufacturing and production industry

Reporting directly into the Group H&S Manager

Permanent Role

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm

Training, progression, qualifications and personal development will all be provided.

Experience required for a Health and Safety Coordinator based in Canvey Island

• IOSH Qualification
• Relevant working experience required at least 2 years
• Health and Safety Coordinator
• Excellent knowledge of legislation's and procedures
• Clear communications skills at all levels
• Toolbox talks
• Experience with writing policies and procedures
• Critical thinker and problem solving skills
• Hands on - out on the factory floor
• Attention to details in maintaining EHS records
• Adhere to OHS guidelines

Duties of a Health and Safety Coordinator based in Canvey Island

• To advise on all site safety issues.
• Facilitate compliance with all OHS guidelines
• To co-ordinate actions where necessary to deal with site safety issues.
• Conduct risk assessments
• Enforce preventative measures
• Planning, Implementing and overseeing employee safety at work
• Prepare and present reports
• Oversee workplace repair, installation and any other work that could harm employees H&S
• To co-ordinate the testing of fire alarms and all emergency equipment, maintaining the records of same.
• Dealing with Accident reporting, and investigation.
• Assist with all other relevant EHS matters.
• Ensure internal EHS Audits are carried out according to plan and support all external audit programmes.
