Location: Hemel Hempstead

Salary: �40k - �45k plus fully expensed company car

A large civil engineering company are now looking to recruit for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team.

Health & Safety Advisor �- Role and Requirements:

The company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and talented Health and Safety Advisor to join their team working in the Hemel Hempstead office.

The Health & Safety Advisor will contribute to the smooth delivery of work for clients by ensuring that Health and Safety policies and procedures are promoted and adhered to on all projects and site activities. You should have a range of experience as a Health and Safety professional with extensive knowledge and experience, ideally in the Utilities, Power, Civil Engineering or Construction industries.

Health & Safety Advisor �- Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Advising / assisting Site Management in drafting and communicating Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), ensuring they are completed in a timely manner


• Carry out safety audits and inspections, reviewing health and safety issues, addressing and implementing change as required


• Responsible for advising on overall compliance in matters of Health & Safety on site in accordance with Company policy, client framework standards and relevant statutory provisions


• Investigate accidents and incidents, producing detailed factual reports identifying root causes and recommendations for improvement


• Maintain core areas of expertise and impart knowledge to aid the development, training and mentoring of others as well as delivering Health & Safety induction programmes for new employees or contractors working on site; as well as refresher training and advising the management team in respect to H&S.

Health & Safety Advisor �- Required Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will come from the Construction Industry as a Health and Safety Advisor.� You will also have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

• Hold a NEBOSH General or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety


• Member of IOSH


• Ideally have experience in the Utilities Industry such as the power grid


• Experience with undertaking RAMS & Toolbox talks


• Hold a full UK driving licence and able to travel to multiple sites across the south east area
