Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on the well-being of our team members? Look no further! We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Advisor to join our busy team in Rainham, Essex- RM13!
As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will conduct regular Critical 15 site audits and collate action points, serving as the recognised site governance to manage and mitigate risks effectively. You will be responsible for upholding positive relationships with external service providers, you will conduct service review meetings regularly and perform spot checks of RAMS (Risk Assessment and Method Statements) routinely. You will hold and document monthly committee meetings with the site committee and conduct incident investigations to approved standards, reviewing all action points. You will also log all EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security) activity on OPUS, escalating training gaps and serious incidents appropriately. You will ensure legal operating compliance of the site while driving continuous improvement initiatives and completing monthly site ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data. You will plan and implement programs to train managers and employees in various safety practices, including fire prevention and correct handling techniques for chemicals and equipment. Reviewing and amending induction materials for continuous improvement and site-specific content, you will also ensure knowledge and compliance among onsite peers. Policy changes are cascaded to Site Managers and peers by you, and you effectively manage the site evacuation procedure.

Health and Safety Advisor Requirements:
NEBOSH general certificate
TechIOSH
2 years experience in a similar role
