Family-run and highly reputable contractor, experts in the civils and utilities fields, require a SHEQ Advisor to join their busy team on a permanent basis.� Having recently been awarded a long-term framework by a large utilities provider, this is a fantastic time to join them.
Responsibilities:
- Keep up to date with latest SHEQ requirements, such as�legislation and industry best practice
- Be a�leading proponent for all aspects of SHEQ, setting the highest standards by personal example
- Ensure site teams are�aware of and provided with up to date SHEQ information and documentation
- Advise and propose policy and procedure amendment as required to meet the required industry standards�and best practices
- Liaise with clients and other external parties, including�relevant enforcement agencies
- Assist in preparation for�external audits, such as�ISO 9001:#####; ISO14001#####4, Achilles UDVB and Lloyds Register NERS certification
- Monitor and update the Achilles UDVB vendor database
- Help ensure company meets objectives and targets in respect of SHEQ
- Assist in preparation of risk assessments and method statements for estimating stage
- Conduct SHEQ audits and inspections of the companies activities at sites and premises
- Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare reports with recommendations
- Assist with training requirements for employees, including arranging external courses as required
- Prepare and conduct various SHEQ awareness training briefings including company inductions, management briefings and monthly employee SHEQ briefings
The Person:
- Experienced Health and Safety Advisor, ideally with experience in the utilities, civils or telecoms / fibre industry
- NEBOSH
- IOSH
- Driving licence
- SMSTS (desirable)
- NRSWA (desirable)
