As Health and Safety Advisor roles go, this must be my favourite type.

This role is for a business with huge global pedigree in the Food Manufacturing industry, a market leader. A master in their category.

Over the last five years, they have had a core focus on changing the site culture into one that encourages change, challenges traditional thinking and opens eyes to previously unseen flaws.

Where Health and Safety is concerned, they have some good, robust procedures in place backed by a group blueprint but driven on a site-by-site basis.

The foundations are there and secure.

For you stepping into this role, it is a change to really take it to the next level.

There will be a focus on driving behavioural safety, creating on site champions and elevating the safety levels on site.

There is significant budget set aside for a number of safety projects and this is where your experience will aid them in managing and delivering these.

Background

You will need a background in Food Manufacturing, ideally with NEBOSH and/or NVQ qualifications, but most importantly a pro-active approach and not being afraid of getting stuck in.
