My client have been established for over 30 years with a successful track record of completing projects to the highest standard and satisfaction of their clients. As a bussiness they have a turnover of £12million and work on projects valuing from anything from £150 - £6 million.



These can range from refurbishment projects such as corporate headquarters, local authorities, hospital wards and educational facilities, through to contemporary west end homes; for tenants wishing to add a touch of elegance and luxury to already impressive living spaces.



They are currently seeking a strong motivated Health and Safety Advisor to join to support the current Health and Safety Manager working across Commercial, Healthcare, Education, Hotels and Restaurant and Residential Projects.



Roles and Responsibilities:




  • Develop and maintain H&S management system

  • Assist in carrying out site inspections and safety audit

  • Carry out toolbox training.

  • Develop, enhance and maintain a Health and Safety Culture for the business.

  • Set standards and lead by example in the management of Health & Safety

  • Completing robust, clearly defined Health and Safety site inspections with associated reports and recommendations to ensure client safety management is fit for purpose in line with business activities.

  • Continual improvement to meet or exceed legislative requirements and protection of the health, safety and welfare of all staff and sub-contractors.

  • Develop and Implement H&S policies and procedures.

  • Delivering induction training to new starters

  • Preparation and review of Method Statements, Risk Assessments

  • Generate quality driven client safety reports, risk and COSHH assessments.

  • Attending and participating with client Health & Safety meetings to providing guidance and best practice on safety issues

  • Carry out review, investigate and log accidents, dangerous occurrences, near misses and any other incidents with reports and establish pointers for improvement.

  • Notification of projects to the Health and Safety Executive where applicable

  • Review design work to ensure avoidance /mitigation and the control of health and safety hazards.

  • Preparation of Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans or Site Safety Packs a required

  • Develop and deliver bespoke in-house training courses.

  • Arrange external CITB / IOSH accredited courses for employees.

  • Manage CSCS card applications.

  • Increase employee contribution and productivity through consultations and quality awareness.

  • Manage toolbox talks.

  • Administer client and sub-contractor Pre-Qualification Processes



The role is based out of their offices in Uxbridge with regular site visits aross London (Travel Paid) This role is ideal for someone looking for long term progression as they are keen to internally promote. They have a real family feel to the business and are looking to give the right individual the platform to develop their career. Following a sustained period of growth the company are now looking to expand their Health and Safety team.
