Leading organisation in the railway electrification sector requires a SHEQ Advisor, who will be responsible for covering sites in Scotland and Northern England.� As this position is in the rail industry, you must be willing to work nights and weekends on a regular basis.
Responsibilities:
- Promote a strong Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) culture within the business
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry legislation
- Make sure all staff have the appropriate resources, training and competencies to safely deliver their work
- Help the HSQE Manager to identify risks and come up with strategies to overcome them
- Put in place initiatives for improvement
- Carry out health and safety audits on site
- Conduct health and safety investigations when required
- Support the implementation of behavioural quality and positive changes in safety culture
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor / SHEQ Advisor in the rail or construction sectors
- NEBOSH certificate
- PTS
- Driving licence
- Willingness to travel
- Understanding of railway standards, processes and procedures
