Explore more on Cubic.com.Job Details:We're looking for a highly competent and experienced Health and Safety professional to join our team at Cubic Transportation Systems Limited. As one of our Health and Safety Advisors, you will be responsible for leading and guiding our management and employees in adhering to the company's policies, best practices, and industry standards related to Health and Safety. You'll ensure that our procedures and H&S management standards are up to date and that our team is trained to meet these standards.
Responsibilities:Keep up to date with road and client requirementsUpdate policies and procedures as neededParticipate in creating and delivering H&S training sessions for internal and external workersEnsure National Highways Sector Scheme 8 portfolios are in good order and audit-readyCarry out site inspectionsConduct accident and incident investigationsIdentify remedial actions to reduce the risk of reoccurrenceValidate the effectiveness of customer-focused safety plansEnsure plans meet legal and contractual requirements Requirements:Formal Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH General Certification preferred as minimum)Working knowledge of CDMProven track record of working with Road Safety managementDelivering training in a multi-disciplined environmentExposure to and supporting of internal and external auditsFull UK driving license (manual)Previous experience in a highways/rail environmentDemonstrated knowledge of H&S legislation and good practiceAbility to work in a pressurised environment and make decisionsOrganised with high level of accuracy and attention to detail Desirable:Tech, I.O.S.HNational Highways Sector Scheme Qualified
