Responsibilities in your new role as Head Waiter or Waitress

As a Head Waiter or Waitress, you will oversee the supervision and coordination of waitstaff to maintain smooth operation and meet service standards. You’ll allocate tasks such as taking orders, serving, and clearing tables to ensure efficient service. Training and developing new staff and providing ongoing coaching to enhance service skills are also part of your responsibilities. You’ll ensure high customer satisfaction by interacting with guests and addressing any concerns.

Your personality, experience and qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have at least 1 year of experience as a Head Waiter/Waitress or in a comparable position within a high-end hospitality environment. Candidates should possess outstanding customer service skills and a genuine commitment to excellence. A solid understanding of the luxury hospitality industry is also essential.
