Our client is an award-winning salon that offers, Hair, Beauty, Aesthetics, and Day Spa. Set in the beautiful countryside of Somerset, they are looking for a Head Spa Therapist and Treatment Trainer to manage a team of 2-4 therapists.
The Role
To deliver services to clients ensuring high levels of customer service are delivered and maintained. Promote the facilities and services the Spa offers to maximise commercial profitability and raise the company profile. To undertake assessment and training when required. To train and develop other team members and develop and deliver external training courses for our training academy.
Role Responsibilities
To deliver all Beauty & Spa services in line with the agreed service standards of the salon in line with the National Hairdressing Beauty Federation Standards and recommendations.To support and assist other team members within the commercial environment.Attend training internal and external as required (with the signing of training agreements as per the contract).To ensure you are operating on time to maximise commercial profitability.To ensure high levels of customer service are delivered and maintained. To minimise customer complaints by ensuring all services are delivered to the agreed standard.Promote the facilities and services the Spa offers to maximise commercial profitability and raise the company profile. To include retail recommendations and sells. Meeting KPIs.To promote actively the sale of products and maintain a consistently high level of retail sales.To ensure a positive example is set to other team members in the specific areas of behaviour, appearance, customer service, and attitude.To assist with marketing activities to increase the level of new clients to the business. (A minimum of 2 shares on Facebook per week and daily likes of the business page)To participate in any events the salon may enter with the purpose of promoting and raising the profile of the business.Act as an ambassador driving continuous improvement.To supervise a team of therapists and deliver training where required.To write training manuals and prepare for accreditation.To deliver internal and external training courses.To ensure standards are maintained in line with brand qualityTo conduct audits of service and mystery shops internal and externally
General Duties
Actively promote and market the Spa, presenting a positive image of the Salon and its activities both within and outside the Spa environment.Ensure the quality standards and performance measures applying to the work of the section are met and facilitate continuous improvements in all aspects of the post. Check the standards of therapists.Undergo any self-development and training as necessary for success in the role. Both self-study andAlways carry out any duties in accordance with the Salon’s policies including Diversity, Equality, GDPR, Uniform and Health and Safety Policies.Promote within the Salon a positive approach to security and discipline.Undertake any other responsibilities commensurate with the grade of the post, which the senior management representative may from time to time require.Cash handling, Cleaning, Cash up, Banking, Shopping, Stock Management, Open and Closing of facilities in line with procedures.Training and mentoring of Junior Staff membersChecking and maintaining spa standards and spa area.
The Candidate
You will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in advanced skin and laser treatments Hold a minimum NVQ level of 4 in laser and skin treatmentsBe a Team player, with a positive, can-do attitudeHave excellent communication skills and time management Passionate about giving great customer service, go above and beyond for your clients Be experienced in working toward sales targets.Be flexible in working days and hours
– The post holder will be required to work evenings and Saturdays on a regular basis & some Sundays when required.
