An exciting opportunity has arisen at SpaMedica for a Head of Workforce Planning role, you will be a highly experienced workforce planning professional who is forward-thinking and commercially minded helping define and contributing to the delivery an ambitious growth strategy.
The Role:
Lead the implementation of Healthroster and ensure the consistent adoption of best practice in its use across all SpaMedica Clinical teams.
Present top quality management reports, demonstrating the business benefits delivered against metrics agreed with the Board, and described in the business case.
Advise the board on measures required to optimise the deployment of staff across SpaMedica.
Reassure the Board that SpaMedica complies with key policies and external requirements such as WTD and safe staffing policy.
Key Tasks
Develop and implement a workforce planning strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives and meets the needs of our NHS partners.
Actively manage and develop the "Allocate HealthRoster" Workforce Management system, owning the relationship with the supplier and participating in User Groups to identify and implement new ideas and best practice as required.
Play an integral role in driving the Workforce Strategy Programme, supporting the delivery of efficient, safe and cost-effective solutions
Develop effective measures to identify workforce trends, identifying potential workforce gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and implement plans to address workforce gaps and ensure adequate staffing levels across all Clinical teams and Hospitals, resulting in minimal requirements for agency staff
Work with senior leaders and department heads to develop staffing plans that meet the demand of each Hospital while staying within budgetary constraints.
Play an integral part in the monthly Clinical Staffing meeting, providing an overview of staffing requirements, risks and opportunity. Attend the quarterly non-clinical staffing meeting, ensuring stakeholders are aware of any risks or dependencies.
Experience/Skills
Experience in leadership roles in multi-site complex healthcare environment
Logical, process minded approach
Sound project management skills
Good grasp of SpaMedica pathways
At least 3-5 years of experience in workforce planning or a related field
Demonstrable experience and proficiency, relating specifically to the Allocate Health-Roster software solution.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leaders.
Experience working with the NHS and knowledge of healthcare staffing requirements and regulations (preferred)
Degree in business, healthcare administration, or a related field (preferred)
Experience with HR and recruiting processes and strategies is a plus.
Strong commercial acumen, demonstrating the ability to create efficiencies through the effective deployment of workforce planning solutions.
Developed Microsoft Office and Excel skills
