Head of VAT, Fully Remote role

A role has arisen for an experienced VAT Director to join as a Head of VAT in an established tax team. Reporting to the Group Tax Director, you will form part of the Tax Leadership team and lead a team of 2.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and execute a strategy for the management of VAT for the Group
• Accountability for the delivery of UK and Ireland VAT compliance and oversight of the group's VAT status in its key international jurisdictions
• Full VAT advisory support on large and complex internal Business Partners which stretches across multiple sectors, international supply chains, internal restructuring projects and M&A transactions.
• Responsible for ensuring an appropriate VAT governance framework is in place and operating effectively, including SAO compliance in the UK.

As the successful candidate you will have experience of leading indirect tax in a complex business, ideally with experience of partial exemption. The client is able to facilitate candidates working fully remotely and would only need an office presence once a quarter to come together as a team. There is also the option of coming to the office as often as you would like.
