Job DescriptionHead of Trustee Services – Major UK Pension FundJoin a leading UK Pension Fund as the new Head of Trustee Services. In this pivotal role, you'll steer the in-house pension team, serving as the go-to expert with comprehensive responsibility for strategy, technical insight, and operational endeavours within the pensions sector.The Opportunity:Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Trustee Executive team to spearhead strategic planning for the Trustee Boards. You'll be at the forefront of crafting annual business plans for each Pension Plan, presenting these for approval and guiding their implementation to meet annual objectives.Risk Management: Oversee the execution of thorough risk assessments, including integrated risk management for all Pension Plans. You will ensure continuous monitoring and effective management of risks, reporting directly to the relevant Trustee Board or Committees.Operational Excellence: Guarantee the seamless delivery of member benefits by the Trustee Executive team. This encompasses oversight of covenant monitoring, funding strategy and actuarial valuations, investment strategy, risk budgeting, and administration.Who We're Looking For:Skills:Adept at navigating commercial and political landscapes.Forward-thinking, with a keen eye on emerging trends and changes.Inspiring leadership qualities and effective management of executive teams.Proficient in managing diverse stakeholder relationships, including trustee boards, sponsors, governmental bodies, unions, regulators, and advisors, while skilfully handling potential conflicts of interest.Experience:Established presence within the Pensions industry.Proven track record in managing or advising multi-billion-pound pension funds.Boardroom level experience, demonstrating a strategic and operational leadership capability.Qualifications:A professional qualification in a relevant field (Chartered Accountant, Actuary, Pension Management Institute certification, etc.)This role represents a unique chance to make a significant impact within a prestigious UK Pension Fund, guiding both strategy and operations to secure and enhance member benefits.
