An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Head of Therapy Services in Fulwood, PrestonSalary £43,585 - £49,119 per annum DOESpecialismAcquired brain injury and a range of other neurological conditions such as Huntingtons disease, Parkinsons, and multiple sclerosis.PurposeTo be accountable for the delivery and good governance of a multi-disciplinary therapy service by assessing, implementing (by self or junior staff), and evaluating programmes of personalised rehabilitation and care as part of the multi-disciplinary team.To provide strong effective leadership and management of the therapies team including recruitment, appraisal, and performance.Qualifications requiredBSc degree level qualification in either Physiotherapy or Occupational TherapyManagement degree or equivalent experienceRegistered with Health and Care Professionals CouncilPost registration training in a relevant specialityEvidence of Continued Professional DevelopmentCurrent registration with relevant Professional BodyMember of a Professional Specialist Interest Group or willing to joinExperience, Skills and AbilityDemonstrable experience of evidence based practice and outcome measuresHighly specialist knowledge and application of therapy assessments and interventions using complex level clinical reasoningExperience of managing a team of staff including setting objectives, appraisal, recruitment, and disciplinary issuesAn ability to work autonomously and to set own and others prioritiesAn ability to confidently assess and manage risk in relation to therapist/therapy service performanceAn ability to organise, co-ordinate and respond efficiently to complex informationCompetent IT skillsKnowledge of relevant legislation and its impact on current practiceExcellent advanced communication skillsAbility to build effective working relationshipsMotivational skills and goal setting for personalised careLeadership and visionary skills to motivate and enthuse the therapy teamFor more information, please call LKA Recruitment on 01206 616695 option 3 or email your CV toJBRP1_UKTJ
