Head of Technical

The Role
To lead the product quality ensuring ongoing development, maintenance and implementation of quality assurance and control systems within operations. Comply with all hygiene, health, safety, legal and quality requirements. Ensure BRC, customers and other audits are concluded successfully.
As part of the Head of Technical role, you will also be a member of the Senior Management Team.
Duties:
Factory Quality: Ensure the factory quality agenda is managed effectively so that products are manufactured legally and safely, in compliance with customer and internal company specifications and standards. Carry out shelf life testing and review results on management meetings.
Laboratory: Ensure all testing is performed internally and externally by approved contractors within the frequency required. Ensure all testing meets customer and internal requirements. Action in case of out of specification results. Ensure test consumables are available.
Product Launches: Ensure new products are lunched accordingly with the standard, in a safe/quality/legal manner. Review NPD paperwork.
