About Our Client My client are a well-established organisation in the FMCG manufacturing industry - operating on an international scale. They are looking to recruit a dynamic Head of Supply Chain to join their Derbyshire based team and spearhead their journey through high growth and transformation.
Job Description As the Head of Supply Chain, you'll play a pivotal role in driving process implementation, efficiency, agility, and innovation. From optimising logistics to enhancing supply chain planning strategies, your expertise will be instrumental in building a seamless operations amidst their rapid expansion.Establishes performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chainDevelops and maintains detailed inventories of materials and supplies located in the company and in the factoryEnsuring compliance with IFS standardsMaintains required quantity of supplies and materials to optimise productionAnalyses current inventories and procedures; suggests improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain and profitability for the companyIdentifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distributionNegotiates prices for raw material and delivery with suppliers, vendors, and/or shipping companiesParticipates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materialsActs as part of the team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
