About Our Client Our client is a leader in their market who continue to innovate and build market share. They have a well established team supporting the design, develop, and manufacture of complex electro-mechanical products, and are looking to build capacity at their facility located in Lancashire. They are known for their quality products and commitment to innovation.
Job Description The Head of Supply Chain will :Lead and manage the entire supply chain operations supporting the Lancashire site including Procurement, Supply planning, Inventory, Warehouse / storesDevelop the team to create succession plans and build engagement resulting in a performance driven functionReview the current supply chain and manufacturing operations to support the development and implementation of an effective supply chain strategyCollaborate closely with Sales and Operations to foster a one team approach delivering excellence customer serviceManage and monitor supplier performance, reducing risk and remaining competitiveProvide the business with a forecast on price and availability trends and their impact on future activitiesEnsure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standardsOversee the use of ERP within the supply chain department (and champion in the wider business), ensure data integrity, and optimised use The Successful Applicant A successful Head of Supply Chain should have:A track record in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, and ideally a working knowledge of supporting an electro-mechanical product (spend will include metals, plastics, and electronics)Ability to manage and develop Procurement functions which should include, Supplier management / developmentSourcing / re-sourcingCost control / cost reductionNPD - supporting VA/VE with early engagementAwareness and control of inventory and supply planningExcellent leadership and team management skills, and be able to demonstrate how you built team capabilityAbility to proactively contribute to the leadership team, building relationships across the functionsIdeally have developed / implemented an MRP / ERP systemIdeally CIPS (or working towards) What's on OfferA competitive salary in the range of £60,000 - £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)A chance to work with a dedicated and innovative teamAn opportunity to contribute to a company with a strong track record of quality productsA supportive work culture that values innovation and collaboration
