As Head of Supply Chain - Stock Operations, you will oversee the companies’ Operational controls of stock and inventory-related activities.This role is crucial for ensuring that the company maintains optimal levels of inventory to meet demand while minimising carrying costs and the risk of stockouts.The role will cover all aspects of stock control, from understanding purchasing levels, stock-flow, and stock forecasting.The CompanyAn establised retail brand with national coverage.Responsibilities IncludeInventory Planning and Control: Develop and implement strategies for effective inventory planning, ensuring that stock levels align with demand forecasts and operational capacities.Supply Chain: PI, Forecasting, Planning, S&OP.Demand Forecasting: Forecast demand accurately. This involves analysing historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors. Stock Replenishment: Establish replenishment processes to maintain optimal stock levels, avoiding both excess inventory and stockouts. Warehouse Management: Understand warehouse operations, including storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.Performance Metrics: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to stock operations, such as inventory turnover, stock accuracy, and order fulfilment rates.Cost Management: Understand and optimise inventory carrying costs by minimising holding costs, reducing stockouts, and avoiding overstock situations. Obsolete Inventory Management: Develop strategies for identifying and managing obsolete or slow-moving inventory to prevent financial losses.Your Key Skills And Experience Relevant For This RoleA track record of delivery with a methodical and structured approach.A career built in a Retail Supply Chain function is a distinct advantage.To be results-driven, measured and have a consistent approach, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to deliver to the best of their ability.Excellent management, communication, and organisational skills.Financially and operationally astute.Understanding of a broad range of product lines and range.Maintains a culture of inclusion so everyone can succeed.Executes changes effectively, following clear plans and processes.What's On OfferThe successful Head of Stock Operations will receive a salary of around £65,000 - £70,000 + a number of key benefits, such as 6.5% pension contribution & advanced annual leave plan (rising each year)Apply today - Interviews taking place next week!
