With solid seed funding and a promising financial outlook, they are poised for success and are seeking a skilled Head of Software Engineering to join their team.Role Overview: As the Head of Software Engineering, you will play a crucial role in driving the technical direction of the company. Working closely with the CTO, you will lead a team of 3 developers, guiding them towards excellence in software development. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the cloud CI/CD processes, with a focus on RDS and EDS, to ensure efficient and reliable deployment pipelines. The role will be hands-on for the first 6-9 months, moving slowly more hands off over time, once new recruits are in and the foundation of the team has been laid out.Responsibilities:Lead the software development lifecycle, from planning and architecture to deployment and maintenance.Mentor and support the engineering team, conducting regular code reviews and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Architect and implement scalable solutions using Python, Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, RDS, EDS, and other relevant technologies.Manage and optimise cloud CI/CD processes to streamline deployment pipelines and enhance efficiency.Collaborate closely with the CTO and other stakeholders to align engineering efforts with business objectives.Participate in hiring and onboarding new engineering talent, contributing to the growth and development of the team.Key
