Head of Software Development | Gloucester & Remote | Up to £70,000We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager, to join an exciting, dynamic, and growing software company.You will join a well-established company who are at the forefront of a new growth plan and underway with an ambitious program of work. You will head up a greenfield projects team whilst having responsibility for a cross location team in Europe and be responsible for the delivery of new and existing software solutions.THE RESPONSIBILITIES:You will manage and coordinate development, analysis, test resources, processes, and training requirements.Lead and maintain a strategic approach and plan to manage the development roadmap, whilst managing team performance and empowering team membersMaintain and develop the Agile framework, techniques, and methodologies.Be responsible for owning processes from a technical perspective, ensuring best practice, work closely with Product Owners to understand upcoming enhancements and to suggest technical solutions.Ensure all technical documentation is created and keep up to date with best security controlsTHE ESSENTIALS:You will already be a Software Development Manager with excellent leadership and motivational skills who knows how to build software, whilst being up to speed with Agile frameworks and delivery of software, developing products from the ground to release.Knowledge of modern tech stacks and development practises is a must.Experience in the tools, technologies, and approach to integrate applications and data across multiple technologies and methods, Mule Soft integration platform experience a huge bonusPublic cloud experience with Microsoft Azure.THE CONCLUSION:This is a great job opportunity to join a growing organisation where creating the perfect working environment is at the heart of what they do.
