In this exciting new role, you’ll work closely with the Deputy Strategic Director of Children’s Social Care and Early Help and provide strategic leadership, vision and direction for social work services responsible for supporting children in need of help and protection to enable the delivery of the Council’s Thrive Agenda, to give all children the best start in life.
As a key member of the Children and Families Social Work management team you’ll provide policy direction and contribute to the wider corporate priorities, vision and values, engaging with other service areas to achieve better outcomes for children, young people and their families.
You will help us to deliver of vision for services and support to children in need of help and protection. We are proud of our strong relational approach to social work practice and are ambitious for our children and young people. We have a strong early help offer and are committed to supporting children to live within their families through innovative service deliver which supports sustained change.
You’ll be a qualified social worker, confident in social work practice, with significant experience of working with children and young people.
