All our work is guidedand underpinned by our six core principles of being engaging and compassionate; inclusive and accessible;person-centred; adaptive, flexible, and responsive; collaborative; and knowledgeable and skilled.As a member of the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) and reporting directly to the Director of Service Delivery, youwill be responsible for delivering, implementing, and evaluating the delivery of services in your area.Working collaboratively as part of a team you will be responsible for ensuring that VSS’s strategic objectives arebeing implemented and will have a key role in developing future strategies and business planning to ensure thatthe needs of victims and witnesses are being met.You will have responsibility for managing staff and volunteers, ensuring that they are supported, knowledgeable andcapable to deliver services that meet service users' needs.What You’ll Need to Be SuccessfulYou will hold a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development with a solid academic foundation. The postholder will be required to ensurecompliance with statutory and regulatory requirements is maintained at all times and must have experience ofcompleting year-end accounts.We are looking for an exceptional candidate with the required financial background and excellent people skills. Aqualified accountant, you will head up a small team ensuring that appropriate procedures and controls are inplace and you will play an important part in ensuring that the organisation manages its resources efficientlyand effectively.Salary: £47,266 - £62,420 (Pro-rata) Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, withprogression subject to regular review - in line with VSS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salaryplacing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.What is the roleAs a member of the Corporate Leadership Team (CLT) and reporting directly to the Director of Corporate Services, youwill be responsible for overseeing all financial and estates activity within VSS, ensuring the beneficial use ofall resources and capital to allow VSS to achieve its strategy and organisational objectives. You will providefinancial and estates management information to the VSS Executive LeadershipTeam (ELT) and will provide leadership to the Finance and Administration team in delivering a high quality andeffective customer service.You will create financial forecasting models, financial policies and procedures and lead on financial, estates andsustainability strategy and plans, in line with VSS overall strategy. You will ensure that all accounting andestates activity complies with regulations. You will work closely with other members of the CLT and will supportbusiness planning. You will be responsible for delivering recommendations from VSS’ estates management strategyby ensuring the physical needs of the organisation are met in a manner that is appropriate and cost effective,and ensures compliance with health and safety regulations for VSS employees and service users.
