That means we’re helping to improve our customers’ lives, and contributing to the success of the business every day.Job DescriptionWe're looking for a Head of Security Operations to join us in London!This is a highly varied role where you'll lead and manage the day to day operations of the Security Operations Centre (SOC); this includes security event monitoring, threat monitoring and response activities. You'll also provide guidance in the event of escalations to help ensure Legal and General’s cyber threats are monitored and managed effectively.If you're looking for an exciting new step in your career where you'll be supported in your ongoing professional development then this could be the ideal next move for you!We will consider applications from all over the UK however there is an expectation to travel into one of our main offices in London. We are also open to flexible working arrangements - job share etc.What you'll be doingContributing to incident management activities by advising on incident identification, assessment, classification, escalation, investigation, mitigation, monitoring and reporting to help ensure Legal and General’s cyber incidents are managed in a timely and effectively manner to limit impactDefining and collecting metrics / KPIs and periodically reporting to leadership on SOC events / incidents and overall effectiveness of the security operations programme to help ensure SOC metrics are in line with Legal & General’s risk appetiteActing as the primary interface between Legal and General and the SOC service providers and ensuring they meet contractually defined Service Level Agreements; by monitoring process adherence and identifying continuous improvement activities needed to achieve operational performance and risk management objectives related to the SOCDriving the development of threat management, threat modelling and identification of new threat vectors by keeping up to date with industry activity and methodology, to help ensure Legal & General’s key assets are protectedRegularly reviewing, revising and re-defining SOC service catalogue and the associated technologies, processes, talent (people) and data requirements to ensure it meets the continually evolving threat and business landscapesManaging, motivating and developing employees at all levels to maximise the performance of the areaQualificationsNaturally you will come from a strong background in security operations and incident managementGood knowledge of various security operations tools, technologies and processes including security device management tools, IDs / IPS and SIEM
toolsYou'll also be well versed in security concepts such as threat vectors, event and incident management, cyber threats and attacks etc.Experience with security device management and SIEM solutionsExperience in global delivery operations support model (e.g. 24-7 / 16-8)You'll also have experience in leading security operational meetings with key internal and external stakeholders and managing relationship with service providersAny Information Security and/or Information Technology industry certifications (CISSP, CISM or equivalent) would be a huge plusAdditional InformationWhen you commit to Legal & General, we’ll commit to you too.
