For more information, please contact the PWR team.Role: Head of ScienceLocation: North KensingtonContract: Full Time, PermanentStart: SeptemberSalary: £36,745 - £56,959 (MPS/UPS Inner London) plus TLR1b £10,696Duties and responsibilities· Develop and implement policies and practices for the Science department which reflect our school’s commitment to high achievement, effective teaching and learning· Create a climate which enables staff to develop and maintain positive attitudes towards the subject and confidence in teaching it· Use data effectively to identify pupils who are underachieving in the subject, and create and implement effective plans to support those pupils where necessary· Analyse and interpret relevant national, local and school data, as well as research and inspection evidence, to inform policies, practices, expectations, targets and teaching methods· With the involvement of relevant staff, establish short, medium and long term plans for the development and resourcing of the subject· Monitor the progress made in achieving subject plans and targets, evaluate the effects on teaching and learning, and use this analysis to guide further improvement· To be responsible for pupil outcomes in the Science departmentIf you are interested in this permanent role then please apply now using a copy of your most recent CV.All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
