Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Science department, ensuring the delivery of an outstanding Science curriculum
Provide strategic direction and support to Science teachers, promoting a culture of excellence
Monitor and evaluate student progress in Science, implementing effective intervention strategies
Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching and learning resources
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, upholding the school's values
Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's Science program
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and achievements
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Specialization in Science or a related field
Postgraduate degree in Science or Science Education (preferred)
Experience and Skills:
Significant experience teaching Science, preferably within a secondary school setting
Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others
In-depth knowledge of the Science curriculum and effective teaching methodologies
Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with advancements in Science education
