Head of Risk, Health, Safety and EnvironmentCirca £85,000-£95,000 plus excellent benefits including private healthcare, company car or allowance up to £6,000, and 28 days holiday (Work Level 4)We’re looking for a Head of Risk, Health, Safety, and Environment to join our property leadership team. In this role you’ll work in a hybrid way, splitting your time between home, our property sites across the UK and our Manchester office when required (find out more about our hybrid working policy at colleagues.coop.co.uk/hybrid-working-policy).As the Head of Risk, Health, Safety and Environment you’ll lead the development and delivery of our risk, compliance, and safety strategy and framework across the property portfolio and operation.As part of this, we’ll look to you to build positive relationships with senior leaders across the business, challenging, influencing, and sharing your expertise to drive improvements in our approach to risk, compliance, and safety. You’ll inspire all teams across Property, promoting a healthy compliance culture throughout our activities. You’ll also setthe vision, strategy, and direction for the risk, health, safety and environment team, role modelling an inclusive leadership style with a focus on people and culture. You’ll gain a broad of exposure to enterprise risk management across a dynamic property portfolio and property operation.It’s a big job, but an equally exciting chance to develop your skills and implement new ideas to shape our future. What you’ll do Lead on the risk, compliance, and safety strategy plan, creating and developing a frameworks that can be delivered across property
Promote and prioritise a proactive and well embedded risk and compliance culture across all teams in property and our suppliers Build relationships with senior colleagues across property, risk, audit, finance and health and safety to help achieve objectives through excellent service delivery Provide timely and relevant information that helps senior colleagues make better decisions and give expert advice with well-considered opinions Manage the risk, health, safety, and environment team to deliver key priorities, targets and metrics including cost savings Role model an inclusive leadership style supporting personal and functional development Inspire and motivate property colleagues and leaders to deliver risk improvements across the property life cycle Oversee compliance, governance, and risk management within property, making sure strategies, plans, and projects are delivered at pace Be accountable for internal and external risk matters, attending the business risk and assurance committee and other events and corresponding with authoritiesThis role would suit people who have Degree or equivalent experience in a safety, compliance, assurance, or risk management subject area Experienced leader with the ability to deliver at pace and inspire, engage, and motivate colleagues to promote risk, compliance, and safety across the property function The ability to identify opportunities for improvement, inspire others and identify collective gaps that need to be resolved The ability to manage relationships and influence senior leaders, demonstrating benefits through risk-based decision making in relation to safety or compliance Strong commercial background with experience of operating at a strategic level in large diverse organisations, providing clarity of direction for others to followWhy Co-op?If you have the skills that we need, we can offer you a competitive salary and great benefits package which includes 30% off Co-op branded products in our food stores (as well as other discounts on Co-op products and services).
