Overview
The Head of Risk and Compliance will oversee all aspects of risk management, owning an enterprise-wide risk management framework within the Bell SI business. They will be responsible for Bell’s internal audit function, ensuring ISO certifications are maintained as well as ensuring corporate compliance policies are established and adhered to. They will be leading a team and working with key stakeholders within the business to ensure that the organisation remains compliant and has a positive approach to risk management. They will also be responsible for developing the ESG and CSR capabilities within Bell SI, and implementing policies and processes that ensure corporate, social and environmental responsibility is reflected in the way that Bell SI do business.
This role is mainly remote, with some travel to Bell offices when required (Wokingham, London, Portsmouth).
The Role
Responsibilities:
Lead a team to manage the IMS internal audit function, ensuring that all required internal audits are completed as necessary to ensure compliance to Bell’s ISO certifications (#####, 27001, 45001, 14001).
Day to day management of HSEQ Lead, Quality & Information Security Audit Lead and Compliance & Audit Administrator.
Work with the Executive Board to build corporate objectives to support the Bell SI commitment to social and environmental goals. Develop enterprise wide ESG and CSR policies for Bell SI and build capabilities within the team to support that journey.
Work closely with Executive team across the SI business to share best practice, build relationships and help develop a positive approach to risk management and audit, building cooperation and engagement across the Bell SI business and its key stakeholders.
Develop risk management capabilities at the corporate level as well as promoting and supporting risk management at department or functional level as required.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the regulatory framework and ensure the company’s compliance with the relevant UK and international regulations, standards and guidelines, including advice from General Counsel.
Design and monitor compliance programmes and produce regular compliance and risk updates for reporting to the Executive Board.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, external ISO auditors, and legal counsel in matter relating to risk and compliance.
Manage specific compliance-focused projects as directed by the CEO or CFO.
Qualifications:
Experience of working in a professional services organisation, preferably IT
ISO Lead Auditor or at least five year’s equivalent experience
Risk Management qualification or equivalent experience of managing risk in the context of ISO
Knowledge of and experience in CSR and ESG best-practice
Project management qualification or equivalent experience
Proven track record of handling confidential information
Team management experience.

Proven stakeholder engagement skills, including at senior levels and ability to foster and maintain trusted and effective relationships.
Strong critical thinking and analysis skills.
Commercial acumen and ability to convey complex information simply and effectively.
Proven track record in people management and development of small teams.
