Role Overview:
The role of the Head of Retail Marketing works to deliver the JD brand’s global retail marketing vision across the UK and European markets. The role sits centrally within Bury and the standard for retail marketing execution and activations across EMEA, understanding consideratins and aligning execution with the other market leads. The role also manages the retail screen content strategy across EMEA and ensures content is updated in a timely manner across all JD and 3PB campaigns. At a local level, in France, the role oversees the full marketing team and supports on building out the strategy, agreeing local partnership opportunities, manages the marketing for store openings, retail performance driving initiatives and local activations. The role across the UK and ROI has a greater focus on retail specifically and works closely with the Retail team to identify opportunities to drive store performance through local initiatives, as well as delivering best in class store opening support and execution of retail activations. The role works cross-channel, cross-function and cross-markets, to ensure alignment and delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
· Support the Marketing Director to deliver on local, tactical, and reactive marketing strategies across the UK, ROI and France.
· Setting of the EMEA Retail Marketing Strategy and instore digital content strategy across EMEA.
· Working with the French Senior Marketing Manager and UK/ROI Retail Marketing Manager to shape the local strategy and objectives.
· Monitor and review all retail marketing activity providing analysis and learnings.
· Support on the management of a regional marketing budget and ensure that all activity is on-brand, timely and well targeted.
· Be knowledgeable about the targets and performance of stores. Work closely and cross-functionally with the market Retail team to pro-actively assess any performance issues and develop the tactical Retail Marketing solutions that might be needed to address these.
· Develop new store openings by ensuring appropriate 360 degree activation plans are developed and implemented and relevant actions are taken when stores are not performing.
· Manage the execution of in-store activations, to maximise impact and deliver against event objectives and KPIs.
· Build relationships and processes cross department and cross functionally to optimise efficiencies and outputs for the team.
· Work with main campaign and 3PB teams to ensure execution is locally relevant for the market and resonates with consumers.
· Ensure toolkits are developed and shared in a timely manner with the market leads.
· Input to the EMEA marketing calendar, ensuring local considerations and opportunities are fed in.

Skills/Experience/Knowledge Needed:
· Solid business acumen and knowledge of Retail KPIs.

· Solid interpersonal, networking and negotiating skills.
· Strong management, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
· Geographically mobile.
· Works well in fast paced environment.
· Extensive Retail Marketing experience within a brand or retailer.
· People management experience.
· High level verbal and written English. French advantageous.
