Job DescriptionHead of Research and Development - Medical Devices - CardiffTitle: Head of Research and DevelopmentIndustry: Medical DevicesSalary: £100,000 - £130,000 + significant sharesLocation: Cardiff, United Kingdom (hybrid)This is an opportunity to join a small, exciting and innovative medical device manufacturer based in Cardiff, who are looking for a talented leader to oversee their R&D operations.Key Skills Needed:Strong experiences leading a medical device successfully through clinical trials and through the 510(k) filing process for FDA approvalOverseeing the development of medical devices from concept to market, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirementsWell versed in taking products to market, including manufacturability and scalabilityExperience in managing vendors and suppliersResponsibility:Oversee the development of medical devices from concept to market, ensuring regulatory complianceManage overall responsibility of operations, product development and R&D, to ensure success in taking products from concept through to manufacture in line with ISO 13485 and FDA standardsOperating as a key stakeholder when liaising with experts, regulatory authorities, and notified bodies to ensure adherence to standardsLeading across functional teams to align on end-to-end processes
