The head of recruitment will play a crucial role in the identification, monitoring, and execution of targeted players, providing critical insight for the development and advancement of the recruitment department.About The RoleJob PurposeTo lead the club’s recruitment department reporting to the Director of Football to effectively execute the club’s recruitment philosophy for the benefit of Lincoln City. The Head of Recruitment will play a crucial role in the identification, monitoring, and execution of targeted players, providing critical insight for the development and advancement of the recruitment department. The purpose of the Head of Recruitment is within all facets of the job specification, from strategical process to the practical implementation of recruitment of Lincoln City First Team players. Positive interpersonal skills along with an expertise of football and recruitment are paramount for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesTo lead on all recruitment related matters.To lead with the identification and recruitment of Lincoln City players that align with the club’s recruitment philosophy.To set and maintain high standards within the working environmentEnsure regular and effective communications for information sharing are had within the departmentTo collaborate in a positive, enthusiastic and helpful demeanour at all timesAbout The CandidatePERSONAL SKILLS / QUALITIESExcellent problem solving and decision-making skillsSet and maintain high standards of work performance and deliver quality consistently and effectivelyEstablish and maintain relationships with external institutionsExceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage competing demands and deadlines whilst functioning in a fast-moving environmentHold a full current and clean up to date driving licenceProactive and engaging style with a winning attitude and can-do approachFlexible approach and attitude to working hoursGood listenerHave an altruistic demeanour cognisant of others’ emotionsTECHNICAL/WORK-BASED SKILLSSkills specific to the job, eg. computer competency, typing skills, coaching skills etcExcellent understanding of League One football.Understanding of the Lincoln City game model, and how player profiling supports this.Excellent network of contacts to ensure market knowledge to capitalise on any opportunities/gain insights during transfer windows.Excellent knowledge of scout report writing.GENERAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTESExcellent writing and verbal communication skills that are clear, engaging and responsive to convey complex information to individualsCompetency in Mac, Windows and Cloud data managementExcellent knowledge and understanding of footballUnderstanding of data and it’s application within footballCompetency in operating other various specific (and non-specific) computer software programs such as HUDL Sportscode, HUDL studio and WYScoutEXPERIENCEProven record of experience in a particular field, profession or specialismMinimum of 5+ years of working in recruitment or performance analysis within professional footballDesirableExperience of leading a team of scoutsQUALIFICATIONSThe level of educational, professional and/or occupational training requiredFA Talent I.D. Level 3 or aboveMasters degree in a sport-related subject
