The client is seeking an experienced Head of QA to join their welcoming team. This role will lead on key areas across children’s services including data management, systems development, performance, sufficiency, quality assurance, participation and engagement, strategy development and implementation, performance and planning. This includes responsibility for school admissions and school transport functions, including accountability for associated budget control (£9 million budget).The Head of QA Role:• Develop sufficiency requirements within the education, SEND, social care, youth and health arena• Deliver planning and performance services for all Children’s Services• Deliver responsibilities relating to the Safeguarding Partnership and Working Together• Lead accountability for sufficiency of school places, school transport and associated budgets• Ensure there is an appropriate performance framework in place for Service Directors to manage service performance improvement and delivery objectives within department• Deliver the statutory performance reporting functions within CYPF• Ensure the Council’s obligations for safeguarding of vulnerable groups is reflected across all areas of service delivery with direct responsibility for children’s social care safeguarding.What the Head of QA - Performance and Planning Will Need:• Experience delivering improved outcomes/working with others to deliver a high performing service• Extensive knowledge of early years, education, social care, youth and family services, of commissioning frameworks and legislation, as well as current and future policy developments within the social care system• Experience of leading/developing a successful performance department, including strong commissioning experience enabling model of delivery linked to outcomes• Experience of maintaining high safeguarding standards and understanding of systems to protect vulnerable groups• Experience of complex partnership arrangements• Experience leading a multidisciplinary workforce• Experience working within/promoting a safeguarding and health and safety culture• Commercial acumen and budget management skills.• Evidence of delivering innovation and able to challenge traditional ways of doing things in a positive, constructive way.Minorities, women, LGBTQ+ candidates, and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.Interviews will take place this and next week, so please apply immediately to be considered for this exciting contract role or call Bangura Solutions to discuss this role further
