As the Head of PSHE, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a comprehensive PSHE curriculum that addresses the diverse needs of students. Your leadership will inspire both students and colleagues alike, fostering an environment where personal growth, well-being, and social responsibility are paramount. In addition to leading the PSHE department, you'll also have the opportunity to teach your second subject. Ideally, this would be in one of the following areas: DT, PE, Geography, History, or English.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the PSHE curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, relevant, and responsive to the needs of students.Provide strong leadership and support to colleagues within the PSHE department, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.Deliver high-quality PSHE lessons that inspire and empower students to make informed decisions and lead healthy, fulfilling lives.Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, pastoral care, and enrichment programmes.Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies to enhance the PSHE provision and support student well-being.Requirements:Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience in PSHE.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.A genuine passion for promoting the well-being and personal development of young people.Flexibility and adaptability to teach a second subject (DT, PE, Geography, History, or English).Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and stakeholders.To apply, please submit your CV or call Liam Jones on (phone number removed).APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPENCER CLARKE GROUP All applications are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, professional reference checks, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) in line with our stringent safeguarding policyYour CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explainedYou must have legal right to work in the UKYou must be willing to attend a registration interviewAll pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay.
