Head of Property Management

This role is perfect for a Senior Property Manager looking for that step up, or equally a Head of Property Management looking to help grow a department from the ground up.

You will join a newly formed department within a highly successful property development group. You will help shape and influence the trajectory of a department, whilst working with some of the best developments the city has to offer.

This role will need immediate hands-on management of a portfolio of approximately 250 apartments. But be reassured that there are plans to expand it to over 1,800 apartments within the next three years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initially manage a portfolio of up to 250 premium apartments in Manchester city Centre
  • Spearhead the implementation of new processes and training initiatives.
  • Lead the growth of the department, including hiring key roles.
  • Oversee the development and performance of a new team, playing a pivotal role in shaping its culture and success.
  • Address and resolve all landlord and tenant inquiries related to the portfolio.
  • Coordinate maintenance issues and ensure compliance within the portfolio.
  • Supervise lettings administration, encompassing the processing of new landlord and tenant agreements, and managing seamless acquisitions.
  • Manage rent collection, process deposit protections, and maintain a comprehensive log of communications with tenants.
  • Serve section notices when required.
  • Cultivate positive relationships with tenants, landlords, and building teams.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' Property Management Experience
  • Minimum 1-2 Years Leadership Experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  • Experience with property lettings software.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Naturally upbeat and positive with a can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
  • ARLA qualification is essential.
