Currently, they are seeking a Head of Projects to lead in the dynamic realm of energy management and smart infrastructure.





Job Role Overview:



As Head of Projects, you'll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional project management solutions across our diverse portfolio of smart building projects. Operating at the regional level, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of project requirements, both internally and externally. Your daily interactions with customers, subcontractors, and colleagues will be instrumental in upholding the brand image of my client and driving project success.





Your responsibilities:




  • Safeguard the company's commercial interests in collaboration with the Regional Manager.

  • Manage the full spectrum of project costs, including conducting monthly cost-to-complete reviews and liaising with the Projects Coordinator and Finance Team.

  • Prepare for and actively participate in monthly Work in Progress (WIP) meetings with the finance team.

  • Ensure strict adherence to company Health & Safety (H&S) and Construction Design and Management (CDM) requirements.

  • Guarantee compliance with company quality procedures across all projects.

  • Attend site Progress Meetings as required, actively contributing to project discussions and decision-making processes.

  • Hold overall responsibility for the timely submission of project variations and interim Applications for Payment to the client.

  • Manage project variations and interim Applications for Payment from our supply chain, ensuring smooth financial transactions.

  • Oversee payment certifications, cash flow, and debt control, collaborating closely with the Finance Team.

  • Negotiate Final Account agreements when necessary, in partnership with the Regional Manager.

  • Collaborate with the Estimating/Sales teams at a pre-sales technical/commercial level to ensure seamless project initiation.

  • Participate in project handover meetings with Sales and Project Managers to align on project deliverables.

  • Support resource management efforts, facilitating coordination with the Engineering Team to optimize resource allocation.

  • Prepare and present monthly revenue forecast reports and manage Work in Progress (WIP) effectively.

  • Oversee project procurement activities as required, ensuring efficient and cost-effective procurement processes.

  • Manage and support Project Managers, providing guidance and assistance throughout project lifecycles.




  • Ensure strict adherence to all company ISO procedures and documentation, maintaining compliance at all times.





Managerial Responsibilities:




  • Champion and uphold company health & safety guidelines, fostering a culture of safety within the team.




  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to meet regional Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), contributing to the overall success of the region.

  • Conduct annual appraisals for the project team and direct reports, ensuring consistent performance monitoring and identifying training and development needs.

  • Lead communication efforts, providing direction, coaching, and mentorship to reporting managers and teams to foster growth and success.

  • Address and resolve any HR issues pertaining to the team, promoting a harmonious and productive work environment.

  • Coordinate with internal colleagues to streamline end-to-end project delivery processes, ensuring seamless execution.

  • Take ownership of customer escalation issues, driving them to resolution and ensuring customer satisfaction.

  • Generate and deliver regular, accurate reports on orders and revenue forecasts to the Regional Manager, facilitating informed decision-making.

  • Offer support to engineers and customers, providing assistance and guidance to enhance project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
